At Ampere, we are about to celebrate our first anniversary, marking a year filled with remarkable achievements. Over the past few months, we have been making a difference in a number of key areas:

🚀 Faster development: From the highly anticipated Twingo EV, on track to be developed in less than 2 years for a selling price below €20,000, to the Renault 5, soon manufactured in under 10 hours at our cutting-edge #ElectriCity hub – we are making quality EVs more accessible and efficient than ever.

🦾 A global tech platform: we are proud to collaborate with global partners and a dedicated team in China, working very closely with Chinese partners, with the objective to learn and catch-up. We also accelerate as a Tech platform for major brands : Alpine, with A290 and A390, Nissan Motor Corporation with its Compact EV, and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation with its next EV C-SUV.

♻️ Sustainable innovation & cost reduction: our commitment to sustainability and affordability is at the forefront of our roadmap. With a 40% cost reduction by 2028 through advancements in battery technology, such as LFP and cell-to-pack. Plus, in 2026, we’ll introduce Europe’s first Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV)—a true testament to our agility and vision.

🚗 Beyond the EV: At the Mondial de l’Auto – Paris 2024, Renault Embleme demo car showcased the next level of net-zero mobility, giving a glimpse into a future where Ampere leads in sustainable innovation for all.

As the Mondial de l’Auto – Paris 2024 concludes, #Ampere asserts its ambition to become the European leader in #EV and #software innovation. This year’s edition highlighted our ambition;

The presentation of the new Renault 4 E-Tech electric, developed on our #AmpRSmall platform, is a perfect illustration of our expertise in advanced technology and sustainability. This model is a powerful symbol of our commitment to transforming the automotive industry with ever more efficient solutions.

Three of our talents have spoken at several major conferences, giving Ampere the opportunity to highlight its expertise across the industry: Henry Bzeih, Chief Software Officer at Ampere, delivered impactful insights on Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs) at Google & Boston Consulting Group (BCG) conference, discussing with Romain Bruniaux VP Industry at Valeo, Steve Basra Head of automotive Solutions at Google Cloud on how SDVs will revolutionize the automotive industry by enabling continuous updates, advanced connectivity, and personalized driving experiences. He emphasized the importance of technical expertise and agility in this software-driven future.

Brieux Anne-Catherine, VP of Industrial Operations, participated in a panel hosted by Capgemini, focusing on gender equity in the automotive industry. This discussion with Edith Pruvot Group Leadership & People Development Vice President at OPmobility and Elisabeth Young President of #WAVE, moderated by Laurence Noël EVP Head of Automotive at Capgemini, underscored the role of diversity as a catalyst for transformation, aligning with Ampere’s commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment.

Calypso Delassus took part in the PFA – Plateforme automobile conference, addressing the need for future competencies in the electric mobility sector, showcasing Ampere’s dedication to nurturing the next generation of talent.

Ampere, represented by Marianne BATAILLON, VP Electric Powertrain and Battery Project Engineering Director, also had the honor to meet up with Emmanuel Macron, French President, on the booth of the Fabrique de l’électrique – highlighting the strategic importance of the French automotive industry to France’s economic and sustainable future.

24 de nos talents de notre site de Sophia Antipolis se sont pleinement investis tout le week-end pour partager avec enthousiasme leur passion de l’innovation avec un public curieux et divers. Nous avons également échangé avec Jean Leonetti, maire d’Antibes, qui a pu découvrir tout notre savoir-faire et notre expertise en matière de services connectés et aides à la conduite.

Sur le parvis de Antipolis Palais des Congrès, nos visiteurs ont eu la chance d’approcher deux véhicules emblématiques fort remarqués : la #Renault 5 E-Tech electric, fierté des équipes Ampere qui ont contribué à son développement, embarquant notamment l’avatar Reno, et un véhicule de test à la nouvelle architecture centralisée SDV (Software Defined Vehicle).

Frederico Ferrarini, has been appointed VP Revenue Management & Customer Experience at #Ampere since October 1st, 2024.

He succeeds Christian Stein who has been appointed Chief Communications Officer of Renault Group.

Frederico will be responsible for defining and implementing the product and customer experience strategy for all vehicles in the Ampere range, and ensuring revenue generation throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Our #Ampere teams were thrilled to witness this prestigious trophy, celebrating the collaborative efforts behind this monumental achievement.

After Guyancourt, Boulogne-Billancourt, Douai, Ruitz, Cléon where Ampere Teams played a pivotal role in delivering an Amazing Scenic E-Tech, this tour comes to an end with our software Teams in Toulouse and Sophia Antipolis.

Comment sont validés nos moteurs électriques au Centre Technique de Lardy? C’était tout l’objet de la visite des élèves du programme Energie et Motorisation de l’IFP School.

Une merveilleuse occasion d’échanger avec les étudiants sur nos métiers et nos technologies ! Ils ont pu découvrir, avec les experts et spécialistes du site, les métiers de la validation et de la mise au point de la chaine de traction des véhicules électriques développés par Ampere.

La diversité des thèmes abordés autour des installations du site (banc à rouleaux, banc moteur, chambre semi-anéchoïque…) a été très appréciée par l’ensemble des élèves de la promotion qui ont pu se familiariser avec les différentes facettes de validation de la batterie, du moteur électrique et de son électronique de puissance.

#R5 has been engineered with Ampere technologies, which includes AmpR Small, our new generation EV native platform.
R5 features new innovative technologies born from the Renaulution: Reno, the official Renault avatar with a real personality but also a bidirectional charger – feeding carbon-free electricity back into the grid.

Few days ago, a dozen Spanish media visited hashtag#ElectriCity, the hashtag#Ampere hub gathering three plants in the North of France. A unique industrial cluster dedicated to electric vehicles, with a best-in -class ecosystem spanning the entire value chain.

They discovered:
– Maubeuge plant which is preparing the production of the future R4, and produces the new generation of Kangoo, for Renault and its partners Nissan and Mercedes.
– Ruitz is home to the Minth Electricity Technology JV, which produces battery cases but also machining collections of pieces for Renault automatic gearboxes.
– Douai which went 100% electric a year ago with Megane E-Tech and is now starting to produce Scenic, Car of The Year 2024. They had a sneak-peak of the production of #R5, as the first pre-series can be seen on the lines, preparing sales for next fall…

Parce que la maîtrise des technologies de batteries constitue un réel facteur de compétitivité, la pose de la 1ère pierre de notre Laboratoire Innovation Cellule Batterie au Centre Technique Lardy dans l’Essonne, en #France est un événement majeur pour #Ampere.

Ce centre d’excellence et d’innovation permettra de maîtriser et anticiper les avancées technologiques dans le domaine des cellules de batteries des véhicules électriques, en définissant le meilleur compromis entre performance, coût, durabilité et empreinte environnementale des batteries de prochaines générations.
