Powered by the experience of Renault Group, Ampere already boasts outstanding software capabilities. We’ve co-developed and inaugurated openR link technology in Renault Megane E-Tech 100% electric, offering drivers the latest cutting-edge features and automotive services.

Ampere is also a leading player in SDV excellence. Since 2017, with the acquisition of Intel’s French R&D activity, we benefit from solid automotive and technological expertise, backed by 1,800 specialised software engineers.

As one integrator uniting three distinct layers – OS, hardware and services – we’re able to achieve 25% savings in R&D while creating new software-enabled revenue streams.

NATIVE PLATFORMS 

Ampere’s EV-native platforms strategy generates significant cost advantage compared to a multi-traction approach. With its AmpR Small platform for B-segment and AmpR Medium platform for C-segment cars, Ampere shared the vast majority of material costs between the family and benefits from a significant advance compared to competition.

BATTERY AND E-POWERTRAIN
TO LOWER COSTS

To reach optimal range with reasonable battery size, Ampere works both on battery and e-Powertrain efficiency. Our next-gen battery, set for 2027, follows three key streams along its development roadmap to cut costs drastically: design to cost, energy and power. 

Ampere has built a strong backbone to optimize e-Powertrain efficiency thanks to fewer parts and more compacity.
